Join us for a full day of free live music in celebration of Make Music Day, a global phenomenon that promotes music of all genres and musicians of all abilities.

Food carts on site include The Roost, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, Jolly Frog, Sandwich Hub, Jakarta Café, and Curd Girl.

Friends of San Damiano will also host a beverage tent, selling beer and other non-alcoholic beverages, including a lemonade stand.

Join us for the first Concert on the Shore of the year!

Presented by WVMO, Lil’ Ed & The Blues Imperials will kick off the 2026 Concerts on the Shore free, lakeside music series this summer at San Damiano Park. Hosted during the Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival, this concert will be one you don’t want to miss.

From Chicago and proudly inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials will bring the energy and excitement when the take the stage at 7pm, with Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys featuring Westside Andy set to open. Featuring food carts, beer, and other non-alcoholic beverages and set against the backdrop of the best sunset in Dane County, this concert series will promote a festive community vibe on the shore of Lake Monona.

Hosted in partnership with WVMO, this event is only possible because of our community sponsors. Food trucks, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and opportunities to connect with community partners and one another rounds out this series of events.

Food carts for the June date include Mi Casa Es Tu Casa, We Got Soul, The Original Steaks & Hoagies, Naan Stop Fusion, and Lily’s Magical Treats.

Jamgrass, newgrass, funkgrass, whatever you want to call it— Armchair Boogie is rapidly
becoming one of the country’s hottest acts. With an unbounded sound, this Wisconsin-based quartet is known for their powerful harmonies, timeless originals, and choice covers, along with unforgettable live performances. Listed as a “Must-See Roots Artists at Bourbon & Beyond” by The Bluegrass Situation who wrote, “We recently caught this jammy Wisconsin outfit at Earl Scruggs Music Festival, where they burnt down their late-night set.”
